THE PROBLEM

Indonesia doesn’t have a very organized waste disposal system. Awareness amongst citizens about segregation of trash is non-existent. It is considered “normal” to throw trash on to the streets and rivers, through which it eventually reaches the ocean.

This has made Indonesia the world’s second largest contributor of plastic waste. How could we ever solve this problem?

THE SOLUTION

People participation was our approach - to treat volunteers as Super Heroes who would come together to fight this enemy of ignorance, and create awareness about refraining from throwing trash onto the streets.
